- Steel crucible: T=460°C, L:13m x W:1.5m x H:2.2m
- Zinc content in crucible: 320 tonnes
- Maximum dimensions of assembly: L:12,90m x W:1.49m x H:4m. Maximum dimensions beams and pipes: l 16m.
- 4 traverse cranes, each of lifting capacity 6.4 tonnes. Maximum capacity combined is 12.8 tonnes.
The surface is cleaned using this pre-treatment process: Degrease in bath, followed by HCl pickle bath. Rinse in bath, then dip in Florflux bath, a binder that causes the zinc to bond with the steel. Allow to dry. Dip prepped steel in zinc bath to finish process.
Painted and primed steel
Before pre-treatment of painted or primed steel it has to be grit-blasted. Only then can you start the pre-treatment as follows: Pickle in HCl bath. Rinse in water bath, then dip in Florflux, which will bind the zinc to the steel. Dry the steel. Steel pre-treated in this way is then hot-dip galvanized in the zinc bath to finish the process.
